Hi Family and Friends! Happy belated Thanksgiving. We hope that everyone had a great time with family and friends, we sure did!!
This is a view of the back of our van, think that we have enough stuff! Two kiddos require lots of things. Especially baby things!
I always love clouds and sunshine like this, it makes me think the heavens are saying hello, and this year esp, without Grandpa, it was awesome to come over the bridge and have that view!
We added a new part to our family tradition this year. We stayed and my cousins house Bev and Shane on Friday night and Nick and Shane (Uncle Mike, Liam and Chris) Smoked pork butt for shredded pork dinner on Saturday.
Nick took a picture of our house from the pier. Its the tall blue one! It was called A pierless vista!
The park is also home to a Civil War fort with a history as intricate and unique as the waterways of the sound. Visit Fort Macon to enjoy the land's natural beauty and soak up some history.
Can you see the hand peeking out from behind the paper towel?? Lucy was playing hide and seek and came up with this spot all by herself!
Making necklaces with Grandma!
Back of the house! I never did get a chance to take a pic of the front of the house, but the backs are always the best!
A storm is coming! Later tonight, we had a tornado warning and a tornado came through off the ocean, passed over the island, through the sound and continued on to land. My Aunt Freda had tons of trees down and she lost power. It was crazy. We were about 5 miles away from where the tornado came off the ocean.
She loved this because she has swimming divers that she plays with in the tub! she was amazed, Nick said!
Tried to take giant family picture, this is everyone that sleeps in the beach house all week, but my pic was blurry and not a very good one.
This years Charlie brown tree, Thanksgiving night, we decorate with shells, sing Christmas carols and have a white elephant gift exchange!
The dolphins came on Thanksgiving finally, they are always a sign for us that my Uncle Ryan is with us!
Now we are gearing up for Christmas, we will be headed to Nick's sisters house in Montgomery, AL. Nicks Dad and stepmom will drive down from WI and spend xmas with us too!!! and then the weekend of the 28th, we will head up to my parents house and have family dinner at my grandma's house. First Christmas without grandpa.. We just miss him so very very much!
Otherwise, everything is finally slowing down for a few weeks. We will actually have a few weekends in a row home and are so very excited. Using that as an opportunity to clean and organize the house! Lucy is doing great, she really gets Santa this year and if she keeps it up she will be getting coal : ) Ryann is a few days away from crawling, I have to get on video her in crawling stance and rocking, sometimes she rocks to hard and crashes down on her head. poor thing!
Well we hope that everyone is doing well and getting their Christmas shopping done.
