I was fairly busy last week, that I was able to see both the sunrise and sunset in the same week!
Ryann took a header into my neighbors couch, that had the metal circle embelishments and it immediately blew up and got super black and blue. Though the next day I thought it was going to actually look worse.
We went with Nick to Laundstuhl, the big military hospital that is near Ramstein Air Force Base, for all specialty appointments, we get referred there, because our medical clinic options in Wiesbaden are small. So I figured I should take some pictures of the scenery. They have tons of windmills on the route that we have to take.
On Saturday the 3rd, we went to a really cool apple orchard. the owners put on an English tour. it was really fun for the kids.
The owners are a husband and wife team and this is the wife. She was really fun and did awesome with the kids!
She had a bunch of pictures and the kids had to place them up on the board with clothes pins. All about the seasons, how apples grow, it was really informative.
She brought this one out for the kids and she said that this one was her special apple, for when she kissed it, it fell in love. She said that they find the apples that will have direct sun and place stickers on them and as they "suntan" the green apples turn to red, they can tattoo them! but not all green apples turn red. the ones that stay green she said in Germany they call Albino apples. and the all green ones in Germany are sweet, not like the sour granny smith ones.!
Here the kids got to use an apple corer, it turn the apple into a spiral! and we got to try many variety's of apples
Next we went over to watch a worker make fresh squeezed apple juice. This was awesome and the juice was delicious!
to much fun at the orchard! Probably 5 min after we left they were both sleeping. we were there for about 3 hours! and it was so nice and sunny, that all the fresh air knocked them out!
Later that day we went with Ms. Trudy, Dakota and Julia to see Hotel Transylvania 2. It was really cute!
This week, nick will run his first Daisy meeting, he is looking forward to that. We also volunteered to be the cookie family. Come February, we will have 96 boxes of girls scout cookies in our guest bedroom! Today Oct. 7th Lucille has school pictures! cant wait to see how they come out!
Hoping to do some fun things this weekend. Nick will have a 4 day weekend, Lucille has off on Monday and Tuesday and Saturday, can you believe it, we have been married for 6 years. Feels like 16!
